The Hyatt Hotels Corporation will open a hotel under its trade name Andaz in the Dutch metropolis in summer 2012. The so called Andaz Amsterdam boasting 122 rooms and suites will be located in the lively Jordaan district in the centre and will be accommodated in the former public library situated right along the “Prince Canal”, one of the main town canals of the city.
Being very proximate to the main attractions of the city, the Andaz Amsterdam will be the ideal base for tourists looking for both urban sights and culture. Also business travellers can enjoy the “Andaz Studio” with several conference halls offering up-to-date equipment. It goes without saying that a bar, a restaurant and fitness centre round off the service of this luxury hotel.
Next to the Andaz Liverpool Street in London the Andaz Amsterdam will be the second hotel of the Hyatt trade mark within Europe and the sixth one throughout the world.
Following the typical trade concept also the Andaz Amsterdam will present a contemporary example of the classic boutique hotel. Lively open spaces, attentive and individual service and a cosmopolitan atmosphere are the special features of this brand. Travellers will be warmly welcomed by their personal host, the “Andaz host”, right away in the hotel lobby which offers at the same time the comfort of a cosy lounge. Upon arrival the check-in is easily done by handheld PCs in the “lobby lounge” or – for guests who are in a hurry – directly on the way to their room. The hotel furnishing is linked to the history and the cultural dynamics of the city of Amsterdam and makes all the difference with its modern elegance and functionality. Future guests will be pleased to see Marcel Wanders’ unconventional style once having passed the threshold to the historic building which preserved the original front. The famous Dutch designer already presented his works in notable galleries such as the MoMa in New York, the V&A museum in London and the Stedelijk museum in Amsterdam.
Feuring Hotel Development Europe GmbH has been entrusted with the creation of a sample room. Furthermore our company is involved in the planning of costs and budgets. Also the field of FF&E/SOE is part of our assignment for this challenging trade mark concept.
