Due to the demolition of the town hall for planning and building control being part of Frankfurt's town hall “Römer”, the grounds around it will be re-developed. The Old City with the Schirn Art Hall, the Römer and the Paulskirche (Saint Paul's Church) provide a contemporary echo of its important historical heritage with the concept of the renowned architect's office KSP Engel und Zimmermann.
Apart from housing estates and offices a hotel is planned as part of the project development. On the largest part of the construction site a 4-star designer hotel will be built.
155 rooms and suites, one restaurant, one bar and one lobby bar having a total capacity of 220 seats, board rooms having 180 seats, five conference rooms and one fitness/wellness area covering 300 sqm reflect the quantity of the project, the quality arises from an ambitious planning of interior design combining innovative technology with high quality art and design.
The hotel's ideal position is a further guarantor of economic success. Since the hotel is located within close vicinity of Frankfurt's city centre (0.5 km), not far from the exhibition centre (1.5 km) with its long tradition, and thanks to the main train station (only 2 km) which is well connected to the airport, its position is very interesting for business travellers. The cultural environment with the Schirn Art Hall, the "Museumsufer" (Museum Bank) which is appreciated worldwide and the Old Opera House will attract even more target groups.
The leading project group consisting of the DIL (Deutsche Baumanagement and Deutsche Immobilien Leasing) and the OFB Projektentwicklung has asked Feuring Projektmanagement Ltd. to search for an operator of the hotel. Technical plausibility checks are further tasks. The implementation of the interior design concept, the bathroom planning and the complete furnishing (FF&E/SOE) are additional challenges concerning the extensive experience and the creative power of Feuring Projektmanagement Ltd. for this attractive project.
