Feuring Projektmanagement Ltd. has been chosen by the Flughafen Stuttgart Ltd. (the airport operating organisation) in December 2004 to find operators and investors for an international hotel which was built on the premises of the Stuttgart Airport. Flughafen Stuttgart Ltd. provided an ideal site, consisting of part of car park no. 5 (situated just in front of Terminal 1).

 

The hotel was built in the context of the ambitious large-scale project of Stuttgart's New Trade Fair and is the link between the airport area, the conference centre, Stuttgart's New Trade Fair and the planned new railway station for ICE high-speed trains. Every place is within walking distance.

 

After an exceptionally short negotiation period of only 6 months, the contracts with the investor and the operator has been signed on 15th July 2005. The company SHB Stuttgarter Finanz- und Beteiligungs Aktiengesellschaft which emerged from the Stuttgarter Hofbräu AG invested between Euro 40 million and Euro 50 million in the location Airport / New Trade Fair Stuttgart. The operator of the 4-star business hotel is  Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts.

 

Following the successful search for an operator, Feuring Projektmanagement Ltd. has been charged with the project development including FF&E/SOE.

As more than 90% of the guests are  business people, the rooms are of course has been fitted with state-of-the-art communication technology. The 326 spacious rooms over six storeys of the airport and fair hotel includes ten junior suites and two executive suites. A restaurant as well as a Lobby Bar and an Internet Lounge, a conference centre, a Business Center and a spa and wellness area covering more than 500 sqm reflect the modern design of this business hotel.

 

The construction started at the beginning of 2006 and the opening was in autumn 2007.
